Roopkund: A mysterious lake
This is a tourist spot. Which not only attracts the mind of local people there. But tourists from India and abroad also visit here. As well as being an idyllic place, there is an incredible look of nature here. This place is located in Chamoli district. After departing from the last village of Baan, after reaching a distance of 8 km, the passenger reaches a place named Bedni Bugyal. Which removes all the exhaustion of travel.
Velvet grasslands are found here. As far as your eyesight is concerned. A green grassy field is visible. Although there are fogs from time to time, due to the dizziness it is not seen far enough. As the fog ends. You can get rid of this place. It should depart from here in the morning so that you reach the right time till Roopkund. According to the ancient proverb, the Vedas were written here. This two Himalaya peaks, Trishuli and Nandaghughati whose height is about 5,029 m. Hemkund is also seen from here.

Roopkund: Mystery of Skeleton Lake
This lake is considered a mysterious lake. There are many male skeletal scenes here. Which are believed to be between the mid-12th century. It is about 10 feet long.
According to mythological legends- When Lord Shiva and Parvati were going from here to Kailash, Goddess Bhagwati was thirsty here, Lord Shiva constructed this trunk here with his trident in which Goddess Bhagwati quenched his thirst and took his form That is why this Kunda was named Roopkund.
